Wind blown snow, an electric cattle fence, a fence post and a blue sky make up this minimalism winter landscape by photographer Edward M. Fielding.
This scene takes place at the farm next door. I walk my dog by this nearly every single day, on this one cold winter’s day, I was stopped by the site of the various angles made by the snow, sky and fence. Composing the image I placed the fence post in the rule of thirds sweet spot. Plus timing the shot between tugs on the leash!
They raise a few beef cows in this pasture. Sometimes the cows bound over and try to figure out what all the yapping is coming out of my small dog who not doubt thinks they are just big dogs. The cows don’t show any fear at all. Its been breed out of them years ago.
